Designed in collaboration with leading Art Historians and Educators, Lecture Series: Art History, together with Keynote, provides a professional-grade platform for building next-generation, fully-digital lectures and presentations on Art History, Visual Arts, or any topic in need of clean, concise, historic look.
Photos & More.
Use one of the 19 Photo Masters for imagery, or add one of the included extras, such as the Timeline Tables, from the Supplemental Materials file to turn the photo cut-outs into layout objects.
With Keynote and Lecture Series: Art History, it's never been easier to bring your tried and true, slide-driven presentations into the digital age. For professionals and lecturers who've already made the leap to digital, or for professors or students looking to move beyond the perpetual strife of the slide library, our Art History theme provides a richly-textured canvas that makes any era stand out like never before.
Subtle texture, shadow and historic sketch-work bring the neutral background to life, along with PitchBoards-inspired photo cut-outs which seem to float above the page, ensuring that the theme never gets in the way of the work you're putting on display. A wide selection of photo-master layouts are included, giving you a wide range of options for showing everything from detailed thumbnails to panoramic frescoes with consistency and clarity. The custom bullets have taken on the appearance of worn paint & ink, while the custom chart fills are eclectic and highly visible, with a slightly antique feel. And thanks to workflow-minded extras, such as pre-formatted citation and timeline tables ready to paste & edit, or our Focal Point objects which make it a snap to direct your audience's attention precisely where you need it - you have everything you need to create next-generation Art History, General History or antiqued All-Purpose presentations right out of the proverbial box.
The Slides
Along with the standard general-purpose slides included in each Keynote theme, Lecture Series: Art History includes 19 additional master slides - a mix of photo and text masters giving you a wide range of format and layout options. Every slide features a slightly different background, with variations on the screened sketch-work from slide to slide. The Photo Cut-Outs are uniquely distressed throughout - subtle dust and scratch elements to add to the overall texture without detracting from the imagery - even add more if you like from the Supplemental Material file. Every step of the way, a careful balance has been struck between making the backgrounds and page-level elements interesting enough to warrant attention, but not so interesting that it overpowers or takes control of your content.
Direct Their Attention.
The Focal Point objects, included in the Supplemental Material file, are an easy way to ensure your audience is noticing the right details.
Supplemental Material
We've also included an extended Supplemental Material file, including a wide range of extras designed to make building your presentations even easier. We've included the basics, such as the default Art History color palette for easy "Copy Style" operations, along with 2 alternate palettes which can be used in place of or in compliment to the existing palette. Two styles of alternate bullets are available, offering more traditional options for presentations where the default "spatter" bullets simply aren't appropriate. A slide full of "distressed" accents are there as well, ready to Copy & Paste into your presentation for an extra bit of that "antiqued" feel.
But we've moved beyond the simple add-ons, and have incorporated a range of elements specially designed for Art History presenters. Our Tabular Extras include a number of pre-formatted tables - for quickly adding formatted Citations, Multi-slide Timelines or a Step-Gallery - ready to Cut, Paste & Customize. The Focal Point elements provide you with an easy way to draw your audience's attention to details - simply paste one of the Focal Objects over an image to add highlighting, with or without a numeric series - and never again wonder if you and your audience are looking at the same details. The Focal Points are provided in 3 colors, with both highly-reflective and soft lenses - so you can quickly find the perfect contrast for your imagery.
Only With Keynote
Only Keynote can provide you with a truly flexible digital platform compelling enough to retire the slide library for good. With a wide range of image support, from web-ready JPEGs to layered Photoshop files, you can bring in nearly any conceivable image source for your presentations - from scanned imagery, to digital photography. Or take it to the next level, with native Quicktime digital video of your latest museum outing, or an iMovie "Ken Burns Effect" pan across a larger still image to bring those flat images to life. And when it's time to leave the presentation or lecture hall, you can export your presentation to interactive Quicktime for web-based delivery, or PDF for printing or additional web-based delivery options. Keynote makes it easy every step of the way.
Strength in Numbers.
The Lecture Series: Art History chart fills are a lightly textured blend of contrasting color - so you can extend the overall look without sacrificing readability. Two additional textured fill types are available in the Supplemental file, giving you even more options.
